Tesa Molyneux JacksonYou know, it made me think that perhaps, putting certain types of confederate statutes in places if honor in our UNITED STATES OF AMERICA is akin to erecting statues of "the othe woman" who broke up your marriage, right in your own front yard. ...just thinking
Charles GrayHow soon until all racial inpediments are removed. There is cetainly a history of moral and political struggles to recount. It takes time. There is certainly, and I think all will agree, no magic pill. Many have and still are trying to slow the progress of the betterment of our great nation. This is but one more step in the right direction. There will be bumps in the road, all rational people know that. All rational people also know that there are at least two sides to every story. Generations come and go and attitudes change. As long as we maintain our heading we will eventually succeed. Some will say it is too slow, others...too fast. Those with a cool head will grasp the rudder and maintain the direction toward equality. There are other obstacles ahead. With prayer and preperation we can navigate those as well. Be steadfast and faithful and all will work for the good. All must be involved. All must be included. The extremes on either side must be subdued. Not by violence but by public discouurse. Free speech and attention to all honest concerns must be heard. What's next?... we will all see. Let's take a short quick breath and proceed with concern and attention to the reason we find on all sides. A great work almost always takes longer than either side anticipated or desired. Our ship of state can find once more the open sea toward a safe harbor or it can be dashed upon the rocks. Every individual makes their own choice. We have the space, we have the recources. All we need is the attitude. The attitude to remain upright. The attitude to continuously check the compass. The attitude to put our America first. God help us all to decide.

Pat KauchickNext how about addressing the theft of documents and land from the Houma Indians. And the continued denial of Federal recognition. Acknowledge their history and what they deserve in recompense. Many politicians have stood in the way of their justice. Make that right!
AJ BoozerI'm seeing a lot of people wanting to put their religion into our government. A belief in God is a great thing when it helps you get through the day or guide you to be a good person. I have also seen it make families closer. What I have not seen is making a religion part of a government with good results. Maybe religion is a personal thing. I don't know.
